History
Founded in 1993, the Organization Studies Research Network comes together around a common concern for, and a shared interest in exploring, new possibilities in knowledge, culture, and change management, within the broader context of the nature and future of organizations and their impact on society. We seek to build an epistemic community where we can make linkages across disciplinary, geographic, and cultural boundaries.
In 2025, we initiated a significant shift, embracing a fresh approach to organizational studies that takes seriously the challenges facing organizations under conditions of uncertainty and global turbulence. Organization in Uncertain Worlds is structured around four key thematic areas: Organizational Knowledge, Institutional Structures, Publics and Collectivities, and Organizational Design.
